SASS, was a life changer. I have no regrets of ever going into the SASS program.
When I was younger, I was always interested in the hospitality industry. I study subjects in Highschool that were beneficial for me in entering the only Hospitality school we have in Trinidad; Trinidad and Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute (TTHTI). I entered TTHTI in 2015 as a Food and Beverage Management student and there is where my journey began.
Upon completing my Associate Degree in 2017, I wanted to further my studies by doing my Bachelors, that’s when Damian Stewart contacted me and informed me of a great program that helps students with the process of studying internationally. I didn’t think twice I was ready to apply.
SASS is a program that equips you with every information, knowledge and tools that you need to be ready for studying abroad where ever in the world that is. When I entered SASS, I wasn’t sure what to expect, I simply thought that it was a program where I pick a school, apply for one, wait for acceptance and then get myself ready with the registration, but it was a lot more than just that. There were classes where we learn about the economy, where we learn about world news mainly in Canada and America where I choose to study. They study your learning styles and adapt to them so you will understand a bit easier and be comfortable. They make it important that your comfort in the major that YOU choose, comfortable in the school that YOU choose and they run with that and make sure you get the best available offer from that particular school as you can.
Before SASS I didn’t know how to interact with schools, find out information and properly get information about the school before even making a decision. I feel very more independent and ready for studying abroad after going to SASS and I believe it’s an important step for anyone you take and they wont regret it because you will definitely be left more informed, more eager and more confident. You will meet more people, great people who will open your minds to so many things and you might even be lucky enough to make friends.
